Embark on a 6-day, 5-night safari adventure exploring Uganda’s diverse landscapes, from the majestic slopes of Mt. Elgon to the dense jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the conservation success story of Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Experience breathtaking waterfalls, thrilling hikes, encounters with rare mountain gorillas, and a chance to see Uganda’s only wild rhino population up close.

Day 1:
Entebbe - Mt. Elgon

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will welcome you and drive you to the breathtaking Mt. Elgon National Park, a tranquil paradise on the eastern side of Uganda. The drive will offer you scenic views of rural Uganda as you make your way to the park. After checking in to your lodge, take the evening to relax, enjoy the stunning views of the mountains, and unwind after your journey. A delightful dinner will be served at your lodge, where you will rest for the night.

Day 2:
Mt. Elgon National Park

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, then head out for a thrilling hike in Mt. Elgon National Park. The park is known for its lush vegetation, unique caves, and, most notably, the magnificent Sipi Falls, a series of three stunning waterfalls that cascade down the mountainside. As you hike through the lush forests, you may encounter various wildlife, such as birds, primates, and diverse flora. Visit the Mude Cave, home to ancient bat colonies, and marvel at the dramatic landscapes around you. After the hike, return to your lodge for a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner.

Day 3:
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, depart for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located in the northern region of Uganda. This sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation and reintroduction of rhinos in Uganda, offering you a rare opportunity to see Uganda’s only wild rhino population. Upon arrival, take part in a guided nature walk through the sanctuary, where you’ll learn about the rhino’s conservation efforts and witness these magnificent creatures up close in their natural habitat. After lunch, enjoy the serene surroundings before continuing your journey. You’ll spend the night in nearby accommodation before the next leg of your adventure.

Day 4:
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, one of Uganda’s most renowned parks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive will take you through picturesque landscapes, offering views of lush forests and terraced hillsides. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding rainforest. After settling in, you’ll have the afternoon to relax and prepare for the exciting adventure that awaits in the dense jungles of Bwindi.

Day 5:
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

The highlight of your safari awaits as you prepare for a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, you’ll be briefed by park rangers before embarking on a guided trek through the dense forest in search of the rare mountain gorillas. The trek may vary in duration depending on the gorilla family’s location, but it’s always an awe-inspiring and intimate experience when you come face-to-face with these gentle giants. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll spend an hour observing them as they go about their daily routines, providing an unforgettable wildlife experience. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon reflecting on the experience. Dinner and an overnight stay will follow.

Day 6:
Entebbe Zoo and Departure

On your final day, after breakfast, you’ll transfer back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, you can explore some of Entebbe’s highlights, such as the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (Entebbe Zoo) or visit local craft markets to pick up souvenirs. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, concluding your unforgettable 6-day safari adventure.
