Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide. Embark on a scenic drive to Jinja, known as the “Adventure Capital of East Africa.” En route, stopover at Mabira Forest for a nature walk if time allows. In Jinja, enjoy a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile, where the mighty river begins its journey north. Watch fishermen at work and enjoy the views of Lake Victoria.

Day 2:
Full-Day Adventure

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping day! Start with white-water rafting on the Nile’s Grade 3-5 rapids. For those less adventurous, choose kayaking or tubing options. After lunch, optional activities include:

Quad biking through local villages
Horseback riding along the Nile
Bungee jumping over the Nile

Wrap up the day with a sunset boat cruise or relax at your lodge.

Day 3:
Kidepo Valley National Park

Today, begin the journey north to Uganda’s most remote and dramatic park—Kidepo Valley National Park. Enjoy scenic views of rural Uganda as you pass through towns like Gulu and Kitgum. Stop for lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge in Kidepo in the evening and relax as you soak in the wild beauty of the Narus Valley plains.

Day 4:
Game Drives in Kidepo

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Narus Valley, home to large herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and predators like lions and cheetahs. Return for lunch, and in the afternoon, embark on another game drive through Kidepo’s rugged landscapes, spotting more wildlife and enjoying views of Mount Morungole. Optional: Sundowner drinks at a scenic viewpoint.

Day 5:
Karamojong Cultural Tour

Start your day with a cultural visit to the Karamojong communities. Learn about their nomadic lifestyle, traditional dances, and their cattle-centered culture. Later, drive to the Kanangorok Hot Springs, near the border with South Sudan. Marvel at the steaming springs and the wide open Kidepo Valley, often teeming with ostriches and gazelles. Optional: Short nature walk with an armed ranger.

Day 6:
Return to Entebbe and Departure

After breakfast, you can opt for a domestic flight back to Entebbe (recommended) or embark on the scenic drive back, with lunch en route. Depending on your departure time, enjoy last-minute shopping or a lakeside meal before heading to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.
