This 4-day, 3-night safari adventure offers an enriching journey through Uganda’s vibrant cultural and historical landmarks in Kampala, followed by an exploration of the Great Equator, one of the world’s most iconic geographical landmarks. Experience Uganda’s royal heritage, ancient kingdoms, religious sites, and cultural traditions, then cap off your trip with a visit to the Equator for a unique scientific and adventurous experience.

Day 1:
Entebbe - Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. After check-in and some rest, enjoy an evening orientation drive around Uganda’s bustling capital. Soak in the city vibe and get ready for your cultural deep dive.

Day 2:
Full-Day Kampala

After breakfast, embark on a guided cultural and historical city tour, exploring key sites that define Uganda’s heritage:

  • Kasubi Tombs: Burial grounds for Buganda kings (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
  • Kabaka’s Palace (Lubiri) & Bulange Mengo (Buganda Parliament): Learn about the Buganda Kingdom
  • Namirembe Cathedral and Gaddafi National Mosque for insights into Uganda’s religious history
  • Uganda Museum: Trace Uganda’s past through cultural artifacts
  • Independence Monument: A powerful symbol of Uganda’s freedom
    In the evening, head to Ndere Cultural Centre for a traditional dance and music performance, followed by dinner.

Day 3:
Namugongo Martyrs Shrine

Start your day with a visit to the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, where you’ll learn about the courageous Christian converts who were executed on the orders of Kabaka Mwanga II in the 19th century. This pilgrimage site draws thousands annually. Later, drive south towards Kayabwe to visit the Uganda Equator Line. Here you’ll stand on both hemispheres at once! Experience the famous Coriolis effect water demonstration, take unique photos, and shop at local craft markets. After lunch at a local restaurant near the Equator, you’ll have leisure time in the afternoon before heading back to Kampala for the evening.

Day 4:
Craft Markets & Departure

Spend your morning browsing through the vibrant craft markets in Kampala, where you can buy souvenirs like handcrafted jewelry, textiles, and wooden sculptures. If time allows, take a relaxed stroll around the Bahai Temple, the only one of its kind in Africa. Later, transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or extend your stay to explore Uganda’s wildlife parks or lakes.
