Day 1:
Kigali - Karongi (Lake Kivu)
Activities:
- Scenic drive from Kigali to Karongi (approx. 3.5 – 4 hours)
- Relax by the shores of Lake Kivu – Enjoy the peaceful setting
- Optional sunset boat cruise – Spot birds, fishermen & the stunning lake views

Day 2:
Exploring Karongi
Activities:
- Morning boat ride on Lake Kivu – Visit Napoleon Island to see fruit bats
- Explore Amahoro Island – Also known as “Peace Island”
- Visit the Environmental Museum – Learn about Rwanda’s sustainability efforts
- Experience local culture – Visit fishing villages & interact with the community

Trekking the Congo Nile Trail

Return to Kigali
