This 10-day, 9-night safari adventure takes you through Uganda’s diverse landscapes, from the primate-rich rainforests of Kibale National Park to the serene waters of Lake Victoria and Ssese Islands, before ending with an exhilarating exploration of the Ruwenzori Mountains National Park. This itinerary is a perfect blend of wildlife encounters, relaxation, and high-altitude adventure, offering an unforgettable experience in the Pearl of Africa.

Day 1:
Arrival in Entebbe

You’ll arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your friendly guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing after your journey, or explore Entebbe town at your own pace. Optional activities include visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or a sunset boat ride on Lake Victoria.

Day 2:
Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale National Park, known for its dense rainforest and impressive population of primates. Enjoy scenic views of tea plantations and rolling hills along the way. Arrive at your lodge in time to relax and take in the surroundings.

Optional: Take a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Day 3:
Nature Walk in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, report for a chimpanzee trekking experience. Follow expert guides into the rainforest in search of these playful and intelligent primates. Along the way, spot other primates and vibrant bird species. In the afternoon, enjoy a community walk in Bigodi Village or a crater lake hike for beautiful panoramic views.

Day 4:
Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depart Kibale after breakfast for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through the crater lakes region and Rwenzori foothills. Enter the park and take a game drive en route to your lodge. Look for elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs grazing the plains.

Day 5:
Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin the day with an early game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where lions often hunt. Spot antelopes, elephants, and maybe a leopard or hyena. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its dense population of hippos and crocodiles. You’ll also spot a variety of birdlife and animals along the shoreline.

Day 6:
Ssese Islands

After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe via Kasese Airstrip (optional domestic flight) or road transfer. Upon arrival in Entebbe, catch the afternoon ferry to Ssese Islands, a peaceful haven on Lake Victoria. Settle into your beachfront lodge and enjoy a quiet evening by the lake.

Day 7:
Ssese Islands

Spend a leisurely day exploring the Ssese Islands. Relax on the white sand beaches, take a nature walk through the island’s forests, or go bird-watching for endemic species. Optional activities include boat rides, fishing trips, or visiting nearby islands.

Day 8:
Rwenzori Mountains National Park

Depart Ssese Islands after breakfast, catching the morning ferry back to Entebbe. Continue your journey westwards toward the Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Arrive at the base of the mountains by late afternoon and check into your lodge.

Day 9:
Rwenzori Mountains

After an early breakfast, set off for a guided hike in the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the “Mountains of the Moon.” You’ll trek through bamboo forests, giant heathers, and stunning landscapes. Choose from a short nature walk to a full-day trek depending on your fitness level. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna and breathtaking mountain views.

Day 10:
Entebbe and Departure

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, you may stop at markets or craft shops en route for souvenirs. Arrive in Entebbe for your onward flight, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure in Uganda!
