Day 2:
Nairobi Excursions Get ready for an exciting day of exploration!
Visit the David Sheldrick elephant’s orphanage and get up close and personal with these gentle giants. Then, head to the Giraffe Centre to meet and feed the friendly resident giraffes. Day 3:
Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, it’s time to head north to the stunning Samburu National Reserve. The drive will take around 4.5-5 hours, with plenty of opportunities to soak in the breathtaking landscapes along the way. On arrival, check-in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious hot lunch. In the early afternoon, relax and take in the natural beauty of the reserve before embarking on your first game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous Samburu Special 5: reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 4-5:
Samburu National Reserve
Wake up to the sweet sound of the wild and get ready for a full day of game drives. Start with an early morning drive to catch the sunrise and spot rare species of game, followed by a late breakfast back at the lodge. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure, relaxing in the serene beauty of Samburu. Later, head out for another game drive in the afternoon to spot even more exotic animals and birds. Day 6:
Samburu National Reserve/Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Rise and shine for a morning game drive en route to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the only remaining northern white rhino. The Conservancy is also famous for its non-indigenous chimpanzees, among other species of wildlife. Day 7:
Ol Pejeta/Lake Naivasha
Start the day with an early morning game drive to spot any elusive animals you might have missed before. After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Naivasha, one of the freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley. Check into your hotel in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure, taking in the stunning views of the lake. Don’t miss the chance to take an optional afternoon boat ride with a visit to Crescent Island and spot more exotic birds and wildlife. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 8:
Transfer to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, it’s time to head to the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, stop at the Great Rift Valley for a breathtaking view. After arriving at the reserve in the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive to spot the big five: lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and Cape buffalos. Day 9-10:
Full Day at Masai Mara!
As the sun rises, take to the skies with an optional early morning balloon safari ride with Bush Breakfast, an exhilarating way to start your day (at an extra cost of $450 pp). Then, embark on an unforgettable game drive through this unique park, which forms the northern part of the famous Serengeti National Park. Get up close and personal with Africa’s majestic wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. Return to the luxurious Masai Mara Serena Safari Lodge in the evening for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay on.
Day 11:
Departure
After a delightful early morning breakfast, we will check out and enjoy a quick game drive as we make our way out of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Then, we will drive back to Nairobi JKIA for your afternoon flight, concluding your safari adventure with memories to last a lifetime.
