This 8-day flying safari adventure offers an extraordinary blend of wildlife, adventure, and beach relaxation, taking you from the misty jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda to the pristine beaches of Zanzibar. Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will take a domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip, followed by a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check into the luxurious Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, nestled in the heart of the rainforest. Spend the evening unwinding with breathtaking jungle views and a warm Ugandan dinner.

Day 2:
Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. Expert guides will lead you deep into the dense rainforest, where you will track a habituated gorilla family and spend one magical hour observing their interactions. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon of leisure or opt for a cultural visit to the Batwa pygmies, where you’ll learn about their traditions and survival techniques in the forest.

Day 3:
Birdwatching and Nature Walks in Bwindi

Start your morning with a guided birdwatching expedition, as Bwindi is home to over 350 bird species, including the African green broadbill and Shelley’s crimsonwing. Later, embark on a nature walk through the rainforest, discovering its stunning waterfalls, exotic plant life, and other wildlife species such as forest elephants, colobus monkeys, and golden cats. In the afternoon, prepare for your journey to Zanzibar.

Day 4:
Flight to Zanzibar and Stone Town Tour

Fly from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe, then take an international flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, check into Park Hyatt Zanzibar, an elegant beachfront hotel in the heart of Stone Town. In the afternoon, take a guided Stone Town tour, where you’ll explore its narrow alleyways, bustling spice markets, ancient Omani architecture, and the historic House of Wonders. The evening is free for you to explore or relax by the ocean.

Day 5:
Spice Plantation Tour and Prison Island Visit

Begin the day with a spice plantation tour, where you’ll learn about Zanzibar’s rich spice heritage, including cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. Next, take a short boat trip to Prison Island, home to giant Aldabra tortoises, some of which are over 150 years old. Return to your beachfront resort and spend the evening relaxing by the Indian Ocean.

Day 6:
Beach Basking and Water Activities in Nungwi
