Itinerary

Day 1:
Entebbe - Ssese Islands

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will welcome you and transfer you to the Ssese Islands on Lake Victoria, a serene and picturesque archipelago known for its pristine beaches and tranquil atmosphere. After a scenic drive and ferry ride, you’ll arrive at your island destination, where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. Spend the afternoon unwinding on the golden beaches, take a leisurely walk along the shore, or simply enjoy the peaceful environment. Dinner will be served at your accommodation, followed by an overnight stay in this peaceful retreat.

Day 2:
Explore Ssese Islands

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of exploring the Ssese Islands. The islands are a hidden gem, offering a perfect escape for nature lovers. You can take a boat ride around the archipelago, enjoy birdwatching, or visit the nearby fishing villages to learn about the local culture. For those interested in a bit of adventure, you can indulge in activities like kayaking, fishing, or hiking along the island’s scenic trails. In the afternoon, relax on the beaches and savor the tranquility. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your lodge.

Day 3:
Jinja - Source of the Nile

After breakfast, take the ferry back to the mainland and travel to Jinja, often referred to as the adrenaline capital of East Africa, located on the shores of Lake Victoria and the Source of the Nile River. Upon arrival, visit the Source of the Nile, one of the most iconic landmarks in Uganda. Here, you’ll learn about the historical significance of the Nile River and its journey through Africa. Spend some time at the source, capturing scenic photos and learning about the river’s journey from Lake Victoria. In the afternoon, dive into the adventurous spirit of Jinja with an array of thrilling activities. You can opt for white-water rafting on the Nile River, known for its exciting rapids, or try bungee jumping from a bridge overlooking the river for an adrenaline rush. If you prefer something a bit more relaxed, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile to soak in the stunning scenery. Afterward, relax and unwind at your accommodation.

Day 4:
Jinja and Departure

On your final day, you can choose from a range of optional activities to further explore Jinja. You could visit the Bujagali Falls, another beautiful natural site, or take part in kayaking or a nature walk along the Nile’s banks. Alternatively, you may choose to simply relax and enjoy the views. After lunch, your guide will transfer you back to Entebbe for your onward journey or flight home, marking the end of this unforgettable 4-day water-themed safari adventure.
