This 6-day, 5-night safari adventure takes you on a thrilling journey through Uganda’s diverse wildlife and natural wonders. Spend the first three days at Entebbe Zoo (Uganda Wildlife Education Centre), where you will encounter a wide range of Uganda’s wildlife species up close. Then, travel to Semuliki National Park, home to breathtaking hot springs, lush forests, and rare bird species, for an immersive nature experience.

Day 1:
Arrival and Introduction to Entebbe Zoo

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your safari guide who will escort you to your accommodation in Entebbe. After checking in, you’ll spend your afternoon at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (commonly known as Entebbe Zoo), where you’ll get an up-close look at a wide variety of Uganda’s wildlife. The center is home to several species, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and rare primates, offering a fantastic introduction to the country’s rich biodiversity. You can also visit the bird sanctuary, which houses a range of native species. After your tour, return to your lodge for dinner and rest for the night.

Day 2:
Uganda Wildlife Education Centre

After a hearty breakfast, head back to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for a more immersive day exploring. You can join guided walks or animal feedings, where you’ll learn about the conservation efforts to protect endangered species like the Rothschild giraffes and the Uganda kobs. In the afternoon, you’ll have time to explore the surrounding gardens and walk along the shores of Lake Victoria, where you might spot local birdlife and enjoy the stunning views. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3:
Boat Ride on Lake Victoria

On your final day at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, enjoy a more relaxed morning, perhaps visiting the smaller exhibits or attending an educational talk on Uganda’s wildlife conservation programs. After lunch, take a leisurely boat ride on Lake Victoria, where you’ll have the chance to witness the stunning landscapes surrounding the lake and enjoy the birdwatching opportunities. The afternoon boat tour may include a visit to nearby islands, where you can learn about the local communities and wildlife. Return to the lodge in the evening for a restful dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4:
Travel to Semuliki National Park

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and begin your journey to Semuliki National Park, located in western Uganda near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, including lush forests and scenic hills. Upon arrival at the park, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on a nature walk to explore the park’s diverse ecosystem, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this beautiful area. Enjoy dinner at your lodge and an overnight stay surrounded by nature.

Day 5:
Explore Semuliki National Park

Today, you will delve deeper into the wonders of Semuliki National Park. After breakfast, take a guided hike through the park’s lush forests, which are home to several rare bird species, including the shoebill stork, and unique wildlife such as forest elephants and chimpanzees. The highlight of the day will be visiting the Sempaya Hot Springs, where you can witness the natural geothermal activity. The hot springs are an impressive sight, and you can even cook eggs in the boiling water as locals do. Enjoy lunch surrounded by nature before embarking on another wildlife walk or visiting nearby communities. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:
Semuliki National Park - Entebbe

On your final day, enjoy breakfast at your lodge before departing Semuliki National Park for the return journey to Entebbe. Depending on your flight time, you can visit a local craft market or explore Entebbe’s gardens before being transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight. Reflect on your incredible journey through Uganda’s wildlife and natural wonders as you bid farewell to this beautiful country.
