Itinerary

Day 1:
Windhoek - Walvis Bay

Your adventure begins in Windhoek, where you will be met by your guide for a scenic drive to Walvis Bay, where the cool Atlantic breeze meets the golden sands of the Namib Desert. Upon arrival, set off on an exciting marine safari, cruising through the bay in search of playful dolphins, Cape fur seals, and the occasional sunbathing mola mola (ocean sunfish). Keep your eyes peeled for flamingos and pelicans along the shoreline. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board, featuring Namibian oysters and sparkling wine. In the afternoon, take a scenic drive to the towering sand dunes of Sandwich Harbour, where the desert dramatically meets the sea. Marvel at the shifting sands and panoramic ocean views before heading to Swakopmund for an overnight stay at The Strand Hotel or similar.

Day 2:
Swakopmund - Damaraland

After a hearty breakfast, depart Swakopmund and journey inland towards the rugged beauty of Damaraland, a region famed for its dramatic landscapes and ancient rock formations. Along the way, stop at the famous Twyfelfontein rock engravings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site boasting thousands of prehistoric petroglyphs etched into sandstone by early hunter-gatherers. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in search of desert-adapted elephants, which roam freely across the rocky terrain. These remarkable creatures have adapted to the arid environment, trekking vast distances in search of water. As the sun sets, check in at Mowani Mountain Camp or similar, where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness.

Day 3:
Damaraland - Etosha

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a scenic drive towards Etosha National Park, Namibia’s premier wildlife destination. Arriving by midday, settle into your lodge before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Traverse the vast plains, keeping an eye out for lions, cheetahs, rhinos, elephants, and large herds of antelopes. Visit the Etosha Pan, a vast salt flat that transforms into a shimmering oasis during the rainy season, attracting flocks of flamingos and other migratory birds. As dusk sets in, head to one of the park’s famous floodlit waterholes, where you may witness predators lurking in the shadows while prey cautiously approaches for a drink. Overnight stay at Okaukuejo Camp or similar.

Day 4:
Morning Safari and Departure

Rise early for a final morning game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting elusive predators like leopards and hyenas on the hunt. Capture the golden morning light as giraffes gracefully move through the savannah and zebras gather in herds. After breakfast, bid farewell to the wild and embark on your journey back to Windhoek, taking in the scenic landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport or your hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable 4-day Namibian safari adventure.
